Barberton, Ohio - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Delores A. Boesen, known to many as "Cookie."
Delores was born Nov. 13, 1939, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, to parents John and Catherine Plaufcan.
Delores left peacefully Nov. 28, 2025, in Barberton, Ohio.
She touched the lives of everyone who knew her and left behind a legacy of love, strength and compassion that lives on in all of us.
Delores was married to Roy Boesen, who has since passed away.
She is survived by four children, Debra Lynn (Michael) Roberts, Laura Ann Cirignano, Brian Lee Witt and George Mowry Witt Jr.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Alice Wright.
She was also a cherished grandmother to 17 beautiful grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 15 great-grandchildren.
To celebrate Delores's life, a service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025, at the Schermesser Eberhardt Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron, Ohio 44319.
