New Castle, PA - Detlef E. "Eb" Seeger Jr., age 87, of New Castle, passed away July 7, 2026, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 2, 1938, to the late Detlef E. and Evelyn Seeger. He was known as "Eb" by his family and friends.

Eb worked for the Pepsi Cola Bottling Co., Met Life, owned and operated Dan-Dee potato chip franchise, Dracket Products Co., Reliable Lumber & Supply Co. and was part owner of Eb & Nancy's Sportsman Lounge with longtime friend, Nancy Hobel.

He was also the owner and operator of Shasta II fishing charter on Lake Erie. Eb was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was very active as a volunteer for the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission. He loved going to the Georgian Bay in Canada on fishing trips.

Eb was past Exalted Ruler of Elks Club and Past President of Eintracht Singing Society.

He was preceded in death by his father, Detlef; mother, Evelyn; and one sister, Kathryn Elliot.

Surviving are two daughters, Susan (Stu) Kessler and Marcie Reinhard; one son, Douglas Seeger; one sister, Carol Stole; five grandchildren, Ashley, Douglas Jr., Christopher, Morgan and Justin; and 10 great grandchildren.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
