Donna Jean Grimm, 85, of Volant, Springfield Township, Mercer County, passed away at Butler Memorial Hospital Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023. She was born in New Castle on April 22, 1937, to John Bodenderfer and Pearl Matthews Bodenderfer.

Donna graduated from New Castle High School in 1955. She married Leroy S. Grimm on March 4, 1969.

Donna was a homemaker. She was a member of Leesburg ECO Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed baking cookies, bowling, making Sunday dinner, going to casinos and, most of all, spending time with her family.

Donna is survived by her husband, Leroy, at home; two daughters, DeCinda (Keith) Taylor of Las Vegas, Nevada and Janice LeFebvre of New Castle; son Michael J. Grimm of Stoneboro; daughter-in-law, Jacqueline DoVidio of Volant; four sisters, Arlene Calhoun of New Castle, Ruth Kirk of Volant, Joan Hummell of New Jersey and Henrietta Danielson of Mercer; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by son Frank DoVidio and son-in-law, Doug LeFebvre.

Funeral services will be at the Smith Funeral Home, 1778 Perry Hwy., Volant, PA 16156 on Friday, February 3, 2023 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Dan Hall, pastor of Tower Presbyterian Church in Grove City.

Family will receive friends at the Smith Funeral Home, 1778 Perry Hwy., Volant, PA 16156 on Thursday, Feb. 2 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. and Friday, Feb 3 from 11:00 a.m. until the service at noon.

Interment will follow at Leesburg Cemetery.
