New Castle, PA - Donna M. Smith, 69, of Neshannock Township passed away the afternoon of July 19, 2025, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Donna was born June 15, 1956, in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late John and Victoria (Dodaro) Yaria.

Donna was married for 32 years to the late Gerald A. Smith Sr. He preceded her in death in 2005.

Mrs. Smith retired after numerous years of service as a purchasing agent with MSA (Mine Safety Appliances).

Donna enjoyed doing a variety of jigsaw puzzles, loved to bake for her family and she loved going to the horse races. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her four children, John G. (Caitlin) Smith of Etters, Pennsylvania, Gerald A. Smith Jr. of Lansford, Pennsylvania, Vicki J. (Caleb) Duda of New Castle, Pennsylvania, and Jennifer M. (David) Barber of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania; two brothers, John (Mary Kay) Yaria of Monaca, Pennsylvania, and Jeffrey (Cindy) Yaria of Frankfort, Kentucky; and 10 grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Gerald, Donna was preceded in death by her son, Shawn M. Smith, in 2024.

Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 S Mill St., New Castle.

Funeral services will immediately follow visitation at 7 p.m. Pastor Andrew Russell of New Galilee Nazarene Church will officiate.

A private burial and committal service will be held at the Concord United Methodist Cemetery, at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2025. Pastor Andrew Russell of New Galilee Nazarene Church will officiate.
