New Castle, PA - Edward J. Kaczmarczyk Sr., 91, of New Castle passed away the evening of March 4, 2026, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Edward was born Jan. 5, 1935, in New Castle. He was the son of the late Julian and Stella (Sniezek) Kaczmarczyk.

Edward was married to former Loretta A. Sharek. They were married for 66 years. She survives at home.

Mr. Kaczmarczyk is Roman Catholic and attended Holy Spirit Parish.

He was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1952.

Mr. Kaczmarczyk retired after numerous years of service as a supervisor at Warren Consolidated Industries.

Edward loved all sports, especially the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers. He enjoyed bowling in the Rockwell Mixed League.

Mr. Kaczmarczyk was a member of Polish Falcons, Nest #146, and enjoyed going to the Slovak Club to meet with his many regular friends. He also enjoyed heading to his camp in the Allegheny National Forest.

In addition to his wife, Loretta, Edward is survived by two sons, Thomas E. Kaczmarczyk of New Castle and Edward J. (Jennifer) Kaczmarczyk Jr. of Maumee, Ohio.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Jayne Wesolowski and Jean Kaczmarczyk.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2026, at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 S. Mill St., New Castle.

A blessing service will be held immediately following visitation in the funeral home. Rev. Mr. John Carran, permanent Deacon of Holy Spirit Parish, will officiate. Burial will be in Ss. Phillip and James Cemetery.
