Eleanor Z. Pauline Obituary

Union Township - Eleanor Z. Pauline, 87, of Falcon Street, Union Township, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026, at Quality Life Services in New Castle. She was born March 24, 1938, in New Castle, the daughter of the late William and Olive (Boak) Cumberledge.

She married John Pauline on July 27, 1957. He survives at home. Mrs. Pauline was a hairdresser, retiring after 45 years, and she also worked at Challenges as a receptionist for 13 years.

She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan, and she loved to bake.

Above all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and she loved her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, John W. Pauline and his wife, Connie, of Warren, Ohio; one daughter-in-law, Tammy (Cook) Pauline of New Castle; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Steven J. Pauline; and one brother, James Cumberledge.

Per Mrs. Pauline wishes. private services will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
