Evelyn V. Foster
Evelyn V. Foster, our mother, grandmother and friend, has now finished her race on earth and entered into the arms of Jesus, on Oct. 17, 2019, joining her beloved husband, Albert.
Born on June 17, 1930, in Sheakleyville, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late George E. and Helen I. Turner Billig.
Evelyn married her beloved husband, Albert L. Foster, on Dec. 9, 1950. After 60 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 2010.
In the early years, Evelyn had cleaned for many of the local business offices.
Evelyn was a faithful servant of God since her early childhood. She was a member of Assembly of God Tabernacle for more than 50 years. During those years, she served as church secretary, treasurer and would organize dinners for monthly meetings and funerals. She enjoyed attending church and was known as a woman of faith and a great prayer warrior.
Her family meant everything to her and she served as a mother to many. As a loving wife, mother and grandmother, her greatest joy was attending family gatherings and picnics.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Dianna Duffee and her husband, Michael, and Wayne Foster and his wife, Peggy, all of New Castle, and Randall Foster and his wife, Terri, of Hebron, Maryland; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
A service will be held at noon Saturday at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Matthew Bupp.
Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.

My condolences to each of you, sorry I could not be there to share in your lovely memories. I know Evelyn will surely be missed, but she is rejoicing in Heaven with Albert and all of her friends from the Assembly of God.
