Felix A. Sperdute Obituary
New Castle, Pennsylvania - Felix Albert Sperdute, 86, of North Wayne Street, Mahoningtown, died Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at his home.
He was born Oct. 11, 1932, in New Castle, a son of the late Felix and Julia (Innocenti) Sperdute.
He was married to the late Jetta L. (Warren) Sperdute, who died March 14, 2014.
Mr. Sperdute taught masonry at the Lawrence County Vo-Tech, retiring after 22 years.
He was a member of Local 9 Chapter 17 of the Bricklayers International and was an apprentice instructor for the local.
Mr. Sperdute enjoyed making wine, collecting model trains and he made wooden model railroad buildings and structures.
He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by three children, Howard Sperdute and wife, Carla, of New Castle, George Sperdute and wife, Rosanne, of New Castle, and Cheryl Lamont and husband, Mark, of Mount Jackson; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Sperdute; four brothers, Frank, Romeo, Al and James Sperdute; and two sisters, Mary Ashton and Elaine George.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the William F. and Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Church. The Rev. Victor J. Molka Jr. will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m.
Burial will be in the St. Lucy Cemetery.
