Ocala, Florida, Florida - Francis Leroy Dierfield, age 87, formerly of New Castle, Pennsylvania, most recently of Ocala, Florida, entered into the presence of the Lord on April 3, 2025.

Born Jan. 18, 1938, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Grover Leroy and Madelyn Agnes (Tommasone) Dierfield.

On June 28, 1958, he married his beloved wife of 66 years, Thelma June (Zorens) Dierfield. She survives at home.

Francis was a 1956 graduate of Union High School.

He was a member of the Army Reserves.

Francis was the credit manager at Perelman's Jewelers. He then moved to Philadelphia to operate a concession stand within the Social Security building. He retired to Ocala, Florida, where he owned and operated Subs by T.J. for 24 years.

Francis enjoyed talking, reminiscing and sharing memories with family and friends. He never missed an opportunity to share his faith with others. His favorite Bible verse was Isaiah 40:31. He was a member of Christian Life Assembly in Ocala, Florida, and Gideons International.

In addition to his wife, Francis is survived by three daughters, Vicki (Lloyd) Jones of Edinburg, Pennsylvania, Tammy (Don) Bair of New Castle, Pennsylvania, and Stacey (John) Fortney of Edinburg, Pennsylvania; one son, Ron (Kathy) Dierfield of Warrington, Pennsylvania; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation, at 4 p.m. at the funeral home, Pastor Paul Price officiating.
