Frank E. Baker Sr., 86, of Union Township passed away the evening of April 10, 2025, at his residence.

Born April 2, 1939, in New Castle, Frank was the son of the late Scott and Margaret Sproull Baker.

On Sept. 10, 1960, Frank married his beloved wife, the former Barbara A. Buonpane. Barbara preceded him in death on April 8, 2018.

For many years Frank had worked as a grocery store manager for Axe's Market, Donofrio's Food Center and then Giant Eagle.

Frank was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Camillus Church. He was also a member of New Castle Fraternal Order of Eagles #455.

Frank was an avid fan of men's college basketball. Frank also enjoyed doing car detailing, working in his yard and garden and working on hidden word puzzles.

A loving father and grandfather, Frank's greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Frank is survived by his three children, Frank E. Baker Jr. (Lori), Rosanne M. Berry (Randy) and Steven P. Baker (Jonica); one brother, Robert Bake; and five grandchildren, Michael Baker, Nikolas Berry and his wife, Rachel, Elizabeth Baker, Steven Baker Jr. and Gabriella Baker.

In addition to his parents and wife, Frank was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kelly Baker-Piatek; his brother, Jack Baker; and two sisters, Jean Berkheimer and Agnes Currie.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road. A procession will leave the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Camillus Church. Father Ben Barr will officiate.

Entombment will be in Parkside Mausoleum.
