New Wilmington, PA - Gerald Geisel, 89, of New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, passed away on Aug. 1, 2025, at Northview Estates, of Alzheimer's disease. He was born on Jan. 27, 1936, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, to John and Vera (Liptak) Geisel. He was married to Glorie (Rohr) Geisel on Aug. 5, 1989, for 36 wonderful years. She preceded him in death on July 12, 2025. He graduated from Farrell High School, Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Westminster College with a master's degree and then enlisted in the USMC Reserves. He retired from New Castle School District as a teacher/guidance counselor. He also directed the Eintracht Maennerchor men's chorus in New Castle, Pennsylvania.

Gerald is survived by two sons, Robert (Erin Salisbury) Geisel and Michael Geisel; daughter, Cheryl (Brent) Morocco and two grandchildren, Joshua and Michelle. Also surviving are his stepdaughter Beth (Ken) Behr; two step grandchildren, Danielle (Ryan) Callahan and Brandon Ryan and two step great-grandchildren, Parker and Raya Callahan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepson, Rodney Fothergill.

Per his wishes, there will be no services.
