Jupiter, Florida - Gerald F. Marshall (Jerry), 78, of Jupiter, Florida, and formerly of New Castle, Pennsylvania, passed into heaven Dec. 18, 2025, following a short battle with brain cancer.

For 43 years, Jerry served in full-time ministry through rescue missions across the country, ministering to homeless men, women and children. His faith shaped every part of his life, and he was known for meeting people with compassion, dignity and genuine care. Through his service, he touched countless lives.

Jerry had a deep love for music and shared his faith through singing and piano playing. He was also known for his kindness, thoughtful insight and gentle sense of humor.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jan; his daughters, Kimberly Hurst (Jeff) of Mercer, Pennsylvania, and Kriss Marshall of Jupiter, Florida; grandchildren, Lauren Moore (Chad), Megan Schwab (Joshua), Katie Pebbles (Cody), Krissy Hurst and Jerry Hurst; great-grandchildren, Molly and Oliver Moore; brothers, Tom Marshall (Shelly) and Tim Marshall (Yumi); sister, Katie Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, F. Dickson Marshall and Phyliss Marshall; and his sister, Janet Covert.

A memorial celebration is planned for July 2026 in Leesburg, Pennsylvania. Details will be announced.
