West Pittsburg - Gerald J. Senchak Sr., 81, of Center Avenue, West Pittsburg, died Thursday, July 2, 2026, at AHN Hospital, Wexford, Pennsylvania.

He was born March 11, 1945, in New Castle, a son of the late Andrew and Carmella (Arket) Senchak.

He married Regina M. (Winter) Senchak on June 12, 1965. She survives in West Pittsburg.

Mr. Senchak worked in maintenance at Babcock and Wilcox. He was then a bridge inspector for PennDOT. After PennDOT, he was a self-employed electrician, then he retired from PF Environmental.

Mr. Senchak enjoyed traveling and going to the casino. He loved spending time with his family and dogs, Josie and Cooper. Above all, he loved watching his grandsons play baseball all over the United States and visiting his great-granddaughter in Texas.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Alicia M. DeRosa and husband, Michael, and Gerald J. "GJ" Senchak II and wife, Lori; four grandsons, Gerald J. "GJ" Senchak III, Zachary T. Senchak, Nicholas J. DeRosa and Matthew A. "Beans" Senchak; and one great-granddaughter, Amaya Rose.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Donald Senchak, Daniel "Shorty" Senchak, Andrew "Bear" Senchak and Anthony Senchak.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2026, at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Holy Spirit Parish-St. Vitus Church. A funeral procession will leave at 10 a.m. Father Ben Barr will officiate.
