Guiseppe "Joe" Circelli, 89, of Hermitage passed away the morning of Oct. 1, 2020, at St. Paul's in West Salem Township, following a brief illness.
On June 26, 1931, Joe was born in San Bartolomeo in Goldo, Italy, a son to Pasquale and Giovannina (Pepe) Circelli.
He was a member of the Italian Army.
He was a self-employed bricklayer when he came stateside.
Guiseppe was a member of Notre Dame Church in Hermitage, where he was an usher for many years.
Also, he loved gardening and playing the accordion in nursing homes.
He is survived by a daughter, Joanne Polito and her husband, Jack, of North Jackson, Ohio; a son-in-law, Michael May of Hermitage; a sister, Maria of Italy and a granddaughter, Jessica Barnhart and her husband, John, of Masury, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Antonietta May; a sister; and two brothers.
A Mass of Christian burial will be private, per his family's wishes.
Entombment will be in St. Rose Cemetery
Arrangements have been entrusted to the John Flynn Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.
