New Castle, PA - Gloria D. Patterson, 78, of New Castle, passed away the morning of Jan. 23, 2026, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born April 15, 1947, in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Gertrude Helm.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Patterson, whom she married July 15, 1995.

A 1965 graduate of East Brady High School, she was employed with Big River, a textile company.

For many years she was known as Dr. D.J. Karaoke and was the lead singer in several country rock bands. Among her many interests she enjoyed crafts and painting.

Gloria attended First Church of God on Euclid Avenue.

She is survived by one daughter, Kristie (Chris) Taylor of Sigel, Pennsylvania; two sons, Kevin (Jennifer) Belles of Butler, Pennsylvania, and Bobby (Christie) Belles of New Castle; one stepdaughter, Marie Philips of Butler; three grandsons, Jacob Belles, Mitchell Belles and Rees Taylor; two granddaughters, Alyssa Belles and Mallory Taylor; a stepgranddaughter, Katie (Dan) Beighley; and a great-grandson, Owen Beighley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; and one brother, Keith Croyle.

Nothing brought more joy into her life than spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
