Grace A. Alex Obituary

Grace A. Alex, 86, of Phoenix died May 14, 2007, in Pleasanton, Calif. Born Oct. 17, 1920, in East Liverpool, Ohio, she was a daughter of Natheleen Palmer, who died in January 1981. She married Louis Alex in August 1938. He died July 10, 1994. Mrs. Alex retired from J.C. Penney in Phoenix. She was a member of Arlington Avenue Free Methodist Church from 1935 to 1972. She was a Sunday school teacher. Survivors include two daughters, Yvonne A. Elardo of New Castle and Eunice Davis of Pleasanton; a son, Robert G. Alex of Edmond, Okla.; a brother, Arthur Palmer of Glendale, Ariz.; two sisters, Alice Staley of Chandler, Ariz., and Pauline Stevenson of Folsom, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Visitation is 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Deer Valley Free Methodist Church in Glendale, Ariz. Burial will be in Phoenix.
