Gwendolyn L. Michael, 78, of New Castle, formerly from the Sharon-Mercer area, passed away at Quality Life, New Castle, on Sunday, April 2, 2023.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio, on June 27, 1944, Gwendolyn was the daughter of the late Alva Lee and Virginia L. Fortney Berry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Craig A. Michael, in 2007.
Gwendolyn and her husband enjoyed bowling and bowled in several leagues in the Sharon area. Gwendolyn also enjoyed reading and putting together puzzles.
Gwendolyn is survived by her three children, Carol (John) Thomas, Tammi Gilkey and Shawn Gilkey, all of New Castle; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Gwendolyn was preceded in death by a brother, Randall Berry Sr.
As per Gwendolyn's wishes, there will be no services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory.
