Harold E. Kirk Obituary

Harold E. Kirk of Leesburg Grove City Road, Volant, PA, Springfield Twp. Mercer County, died at UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle Tuesday Evening 5-17-2016. He was 84 years old.

Born January 14, 1932 in Wilmington Twp. Mercer County to the late Howard S. and Florence Brooks Kirk, Harold attended Wilmington Schools and was an self employed farmer all of his life. Harold was an avid worker and enjoyed hunting . He was a member of White Chapel United Methodist Church and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and especially his family. His favorite holiday was Christmas.

Survivors include his wife Ruth of the residence and two sons: Fred H. Kirk of New Wilmington and Allan P. Kirk and his wife Renee of Grove City, two daughters, Barbara R. Kirk of Slippery Rock and Gayle A. Kirk of Volant. One sister, Dorothy Kaufman of Volant and four grandchildren: Devin and Clayton Sharek and Maya and Kara Kirk.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant brother Paul and two sisters: Helen Catterson and Lucille Collins.

Funeral Services will be on Sat. May 21, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at The Smith Funeral Home 310 W. Neshannock Avenue, New Wilmington, PA Rev. Gary Sheesley, pastor of White Chapel United .Methodist will officiate. Visitation will be Friday May 20, 2016 from 1 to 4 and 7 - 9 P.M. at the funeral home in New Wilmington, PA
