Helen M. Wojnar, 84 of N. Cedar Street, Mahoningtown, died January 31, 2025 at Avalon Nursing Home.
Helen was born August 23, 1940 in Detroit, MI. Daughter of the late Stanley and Josephine (Cwynar) Wojnar, Helen attended Madonna school and graduated from New Castle High School in 1958.
Helen worked at Shenango China for more than 20 years until it closed in 1991. She also worked at New Castle Luggage factory. She loved cats, especially her cherished kitties Champagne and Missy.
Helen is survived by her brother Henry of New Castle; nieces Susan Wojnar of Youngstown and Carole Peter (Joe) of Independence, MN; nephew Andrew Wojnar of Girard, OH; grandnephews Skylar Slavik and Tristan Peter; and dearest friend Mary Ann Slaiman of New Castle.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and John Wojnar, and niece Laura Mozelewski (Michael).
