New Wilmington - Irene Christine (Wrobleski) O'Shane, 98, of New Wilmington passed away Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, at Saint John XXIII in Hermitage, Pennsylvania.
She was born June 20, 1927, in Sharpsburg, Pennsylvania, to the late John and Helen Wagner Wrobleski.
She married Benjamin O'Shane on Nov. 19, 1944, and he preceded her in death May 7, 2015.
Irene owned a beauty shop for many years in New Wilmington.
She enjoyed cooking, baking and crocheting.
Survivors include a son, Thomas John (Kathleen) O'Shane of Placida, Florida; four grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Irene was preceded in death by a son, Benjamin R. O'Shane; and sisters, Harriet Pilarski, Laura Mroccka and Bernice Kaczynski.
There will be a blessing service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, in the chapel at Castleview Memorial Gardens, Wilmington Road, New Castle, with Fr. Aaron Kriss of St. Camillus officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted to Smith Funeral Home of New Wilmington.
