Isabel K. Alberico, 91, of New Castle passed away the morning of June 9, 2019, at UPMC Jameson.

Born on Sept. 23, 1927, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Virginia Pacella Nocera.

Isabel had worked as a nurse's aide at St. Francis Hospital. She then had worked at Shenango Pottery.

Isabel was a member of the St. Vitus Church. She was a former member of the St. Vitus choir and Mary's Kitchen Band. She enjoyed gardening and baking bread, but her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.

Isabel is survived by her four daughters, Kathy Howley and her husband, Bill, of New Castle, Carol Kerr and her husband, John, of Rodgers, Ohio, Ann Badger and her husband, Joseph, of New Wilmington, Diane Walczak and husband, Ron, of Prospect; her son, Michael Alberico and his wife, Laurie, of New Castle; her brother, Louis Nocera of Koppel; two sisters, Molly Mazzant and Rita Mazzant, both of Ellwood City; 18 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Isabel was preceded in death by two brothers, Julius and Anthony Nocera; and one sister, Mary Vellone.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2019, for a Mass of Christian burial at St. Vitus Church at 10 a.m. Father Victor Molka Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
