James R. Delaney, 64, of New Castle, passed away the evening of November 6, 2016 at UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, PA.
James was born September 20, 1952 in New Castle. He was the son of the late James E. Delaney. His mother, Betty Lynn Delaney survives at home. He married the former Mary Ellen Braykovich. She preceded him in death. Mr. Delaney retired after 37 years of service in the maintenance department at the former Universal Refractories in Wampum PA.
In addition to his mother Betty, he is survived by two sons, Ian J. (Christina) Delaney of Edinburg, PA, and Ryan P. (Amy) Delaney of New Castle; two sisters, Linda (Jack) Clark of Tampa, FL and Cheryl (Dennis) Higgins of New Castle; and his four grandchildren, Caden, Paige, Kamryn, and Connor Delaney.
In addition to his wife, Mary Ellen, he was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents; and his father, James E. Delaney.
