New Castle, PA - Jean (DeLeone) Curran, 90, of Neshannock Township, passed away the morning of Dec. 24, 2022, at UPMC Jameson.

Born in Edinburg, Pennsylvania, on April 17, 1932, Jean was the daughter of the late Frank and Philomena Storti Vignola.

Jean was preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel DeLeone, on Aug. 24, 1989, and her second husband, Donald Curran, on Nov. 17, 2018.

She had worked in the housekeeping department at Jameson Hospital until she retired.

Jean was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Mary's Church.

Jean was a member of Ladies of the Dukes. She also had a great devotion to Our Lady of Consolation Shrine in Carey, Ohio.

Jean loved cooking for and feeding her family. A loving mother, grandmother and Nonie, her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.

Jean is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia Jean Micco of Edinburg, Pennsylvania, and Laurie Ann Schweikert of Pewaukee, Wisconsin; her step-children, Robert Curran (Kathleen) of Redding, CT, James Curran (Susan) of Marana, AZ, and Mary Curran (Scott Miller) of Apex, NC, four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild.

In addition to her parents and two husbands, Jean was preceded in death by three brothers, Samuel, Albert and Phillip Vignola; and three sisters, Angeline Pagley, Ida Veronesi and Violet Mechocic.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.

A procession will leave the funeral home at 10:45 a.m. Thursday for a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Mary's Church. Father Benjamin Barr will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
