Jean C. Stewart, 94, of New Castle passed away the morning of March 11, 2025, at the Haven Convalescent Home.
Born Sept. 28, 1930, in New Castle, Jean was the daughter of the late John and Mary Champ Parco.
On July 13, 1952, Jean married her beloved husband, Harry W. Stewart. Harry preceded her in death Sept. 26, 2002.
In the early years, Jean had worked as a bank teller for Dollar Savings, then Lawrence Savings & Trust. She retired from PNC Bank after 26 years in banking.
Jean was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church, where she was active in the Ladies Guild at the church.
She also enjoyed playing bingo, cooking and baking.
Jean is survived by her son, William Stewart, and his companion, Becky Sallman; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Matteo and Shirley Bishop; and three brothers, Ralph Parco, Joe Parco and John Parco.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A Blessing Service will follow at 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Deacon John Carran will officiate.
Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
