Surrounded by family and close friends, Jeffrey A. MacKay, 61, of Evans City stepped into heaven to be with Jesus, after a brief battle with lung and brain cancer, on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025.
He was born Jan. 26, 1964, in Sandusky, Ohio, to Barb and Gordon MacKay.
He has wholeheartedly pastored for much of the past 30 years in Michigan, Iowa and Pennsylvania. He loved God's Word.
He loved his family fiercely and loved the time he spent with them.
He truly had a passion to serve others.
He is survived by his loving wife, whom he married Dec. 27, 1986, "Beck" (Rebecca, Becky); his seven children, Amber and Jamie Lindsay, Ashley and Larry Kerns, Emily and Ethan Mawhinney, Jared, Natalie, Joel and Shaylee MacKay; his nine adored grandchildren, Mia, Reagan, Levi and Whitney Lindsay, Owens and Weston Mawhinney, Tripp, Ellie and Scottie Kerns; his brothers, Gary (Sherry), Greg (Lucy), Mike (Lori); brother-in-law, Tim (Daisy); also nieces and nephews.
