Jimmie C. Abraham Obituary

Jimmie C. Abraham, 72, of New Wilmington passed away on April 4, 2020, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born on June 11, 1947, in New Castle, he was a son of the late Charles and Sarifa Koury Abraham.

On June 8, 1974, Jimmie married his beloved wife, the former Leona Riley. She survives at home.

Jimmie had worked at the Volant Post Office as a postman and post master.

He was active at St. John's Maronite Church and Highland Presbyterian Church.

Jimmie enjoyed going antiquing and taking care of his daughter's dogs. He was known as a prankster and loved socializing with his friends.

Jimmie cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his extended grandchildren, Riley Jane and Gardner, and his nephew, William.

In addition to his wife, Jimmie is survived by his daughter, Kelly Abraham-Lagnese (Anthony) of New Castle; two brothers, Joseph Abraham (Susan) of Sewickley and John Abraham of New Castle; his sisters, Theresa Smarrelli (Augustine) and Ann Antognoli (David), and his sister-in-law, Linda Abraham all of New Castle; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by his brother, Charles "Babe" Abraham; and his sister-in-law, Patricia Abraham.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.
