New Wilmington, PA - Joan Lee Warsing, age 92, of New Castle passed away the afternoon of Aug. 29, 2025, at Shenango on the Green.

Born May 16, 1933, in Huntington, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late George E. and Lois (Gerber) Abbott.

In 1952, she married her first husband, the late Richard Koski. Subsequently, she married Donald P. Warsing Sr. on June 14, 2008. He preceded her in death April 17, 2023.

Joan graduated high school in 1951.

She worked for a period at Bell Telephone Company and, in later years, the Country House Christmas Shop.

Joan enjoyed oil and water color painting, along with spending time with her family.

She was a member of Challenges, Options in Aging and The Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts, and volunteered at Lark Enterprises.

Joan was a lifetime member of Trinity Episcopal Church.

More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and always had a kind word and a smile for everyone she met. She loved the Lord and her church, as well as her church family.

Joan is survived by two daughters, Pamela (Robert) Chill of New Castle, Pennsylvania, and Laurie Kasprzyk of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; one grandson, Steven (Stephane' Elisco) Chill; one great-granddaughter, Brooklynn (Jon) Organ; and four great-great-grandchildren, Jack Organ, Evalynn Organ, Giavanni Mastropietro and Joseph Mastropietro.

Along with her parents and first and second husbands, she was preceded in death by one brother, William J. Abbott; one son, Eric Koski; one son-in-law, George Kasprzyk; and one grandson, Ryan Chill.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A service will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 212 N. Mill St., New Castle.

Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.
