John F. Addison, 50, of 982 Leesburg Station Road, Volant, died April 22, 2006, in his home following a heart attack. Born April 30, 1955, in New Castle, he was a son of the late James P. and Mary R. McGrath Addison. He was a Springfield Township supervisor and roadmaster for more than 20 years. Mr. Addison was a 1973 graduate of Grove City High School. The greatest joy in his life was his son, John. He was Catholic. Survivors include his companion, Patty; his son, John Addison of Leesburg; four brothers, James N. Addison of Volant, Robert M. Addison of Mercer, William B. Addison of New Wilmington and Paul J. Addison of Greenville; and two sisters, Robertine Lahr of Edinburg and Mary Cunningham of Pulaski. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. tomorrow at the Smith Funeral Home, 1778 Perry Highway, Leesburg. A service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Edward Zeitler, pastor of the Church of the Beloved Disciple in Grove City, will officiate. Burial will be in Leesburg Cemetery, Springfield Township, Mercer County.
