Beaver Falls, PA - John P. Cwynar, 88, of 395 Norwood Drive, Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, passed away the afternoon of Feb. 4, 2026, at Heritage Valley Hospital.

John was born Nov. 14, 1937, in New Castle. He was the son of the late Ludwig and Helen (Kuczynski) Cwynar.

He was married to the former Kathleen M. Koszela. They were married for 62 years, and she survives at home.

Mr. Cwynar was a graduate of Shenango High School, class of 1955.

John was a member of Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church.

Mr. Cwynar retired as a millwright after 41 years at LTV Steel/JL companies.

John enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also had a woodworking shop and enjoyed making things for his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Kathleen, John is survived by his sons, William L. Cwynar and Stephen M. Cwynar, both of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Cwynar was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Michele Kolesky; and sister, Lenora Blews.

Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 S. Mill St., New Castle.

A Blessing Service will be held immediately following visitation in the funeral home. The Very Rev. John A. Rencewicz II will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Cemetery. Online condolences may be viewed or offered by visiting www.nogafuneralhome.com.
