Joseph William Ladesic Obituary

Joseph William Ladesic, 86, of Harlansburg (Scott Township, Lawrence County), passed away at UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle on Friday, June 10, 2022.

He was born Sept. 21, 1935, in Pittsburgh to Joseph John Ladesic and Henrietta Newman Ladesic.

He married Grace Leona Mravintz on June 11, 1960.

Joe worked for Marrett Carpet in Volant as a warehouse manager and carpet cutter for almost 20 years.

He was a member of the St. Faustina Parish, St. Peter Church in Slippery Rock, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Grace, at home; daughters, Jane Eileen (John) Fobes of Harlansburg and Joan Rita (Bruce) Armstrong of Darlington, Pennsylvania; son, Joseph Ralph (Autumn) Ladesic of New Castle; brother, James Andrew Ladesic of New Castle; seven grandchildren, John, Rhonda and Michael Fobes, Jeffery and Steven Sipe and Joseph M. Ladesic and Kara Beganis; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Stephanie Marie Sipe; brother, Raymond; and sister, Alma Antonacceo.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022, at St. Peter Church, 670 S. Main St. Slippery Rock. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Smith Funeral Home 421 New Castle St. Slippery Rock.

Interment will be in St. Anthony Cemetery in Harrisville, Pennsylvania.
