Joyce Elaine Sipe Obituary

New Wilmington - Joyce Elaine Sipe, 74, of Bethel New Wilmington Road, New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, passed away at UPMC Jameson Hospital on Feb. 28, 2026. She was 74 years old.

She was born Nov. 8, 1951, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, to the late Melvin and Lois Lehman Sipe.

Joyce was a graduate of Wilmington High School class of 1969, and was a secretary to the superintendent followed by a payroll secretary at the high school.

She enjoyed collecting patterns and recipes.

Survivors include a sister, Marcia (Stanley) Sipe of Volant; two brothers, Randy (Susan) Sipe of New Wilmington and Larry Sipe of Stoneboro; three nieces, Leanne (David) Ciarrocchi, Mindy (Larry) Weingrad and Angie (Walter) Matters; as well as nephews, Tyrel Sipe and Brian (Michelle) Sipe; also several grandnieces and grandnephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her nephew, Andy Kaufman,

Joyce was very involved and devoted to her extended family. The family wishes to thank the workers at the Haven for excellent care and concern.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2026, until the service at 5 p.m. at The Smith Funeral Home of New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, with Pastor Rebecca Rosengarth officiating.

Interment will follow at Fair Oaks Cemetery, New Wilmington, Pennsylvania.
