New Wilmington, PA - June A. Cox, age 100, formerly of New Castle, passed away July 10, 2026, at Shenango on the Green in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania.

Born Feb. 2, 1926, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Elliott Swift Warnock and Verna (Porter) Warnock.

She was preceded in death on June 7, 2010, by her beloved husband of 63 years, Gilbert A. Cox, Jr., whom she married Aug. 10, 1946.

A graduate of New Castle High School, June was employed as a secretary for American Can Company. In addition to her love of camping, June enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the New Castle Paws & Taws. She was a longtime member of Northminster Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, James and Cynthia Warnock of Palmyra, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, David Cowmeadow, Christie Reid, Cindy Miskowiec and Laura Turngren; four great-grandchildren; one nephew, Matt Warnock and one niece, Jill Schwitzgebel.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by both her children, a daughter, Julie Cowmeadow and a son, John D. Cox.

There will be a one-hour visitation prior to a funeral service on Tuesday, July 14, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, with a service at 11 a.m. Rev. Jordan Rimmer will officiate.

Burial will be in Castle View Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in June's honor, may be made to Shenango on the Green, 238 S. Market St., New Wilmington, PA 16142.
