Kathleen Kemla Antonio Obituary
Kathleen Kemla Antonio, 90, of West Englewood Avenue, died Saturday, June 22, 2024, at her residence in New Castle. She was born in East Chicago, Ind., Feb. 16, 1934, the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Beshero) Omer. Mrs. Antonio married Patsy J. Antonio on April 30, 1960; he survives at home. Mrs. Antonio was a member of Holy Spirit Parish — St. Vitus. She worked for Bell Telephone as an operator for 15 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking and decorating, especially for Christmas. Kathleen loved taking care of her family and especially loved all her grandchildren. Her family was paramount.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by three children, Patsy E. Antonio and his wife, Kyree, Maria L. Piccione and her husband, Victor, and Carol A. Morell and her husband, Jeff, all of New Castle; eight grandchildren, Pasquale G. Antonio, Maria N. Antonio, Nicolina R. Antonio, Victor M. Piccione, III, Leah K. Piccione, Domenic J. Morell, Nicholas A. Morell and Thomas G. Morell; two great-grandchildren, Victor M. Piccione IV, and George M. Piccione, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred Omer, A. Raymond Omer and Carl Omer; two sisters, Lorraine Gabriel and Nancy Scarnati; and one great-granddaughter, Mila Piccione.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Spirit Parish - St. Vitus, 910 S. Mercer St. Father Ben Barr will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William F. & Roger M.
