New Castle, PA - Kathleen A. Santangelo, 81, of 155 Nesbit Road, Neshannock Township, Pennsylvania, passed away the morning of May 31, 2025, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Kathleen was born Dec. 27, 1943, in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Walter "Ziggy" and Sara "Deba" (Bashara) Gabriel.

Kathleen was married to A. Raymond Omer, who preceded her in death. She then married Peter Santangelo, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Santangelo was a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Maronite Catholic Church.

Mrs. Santangelo worked as a pharmacy technician at CVS Health Mart for numerous years. She also worked alongside her family at Joseph's Supermarket.

Kathleen was a woman of strong faith and was very active in her church.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Santangelo is survived by her two children, Raymond C. (Kellie J.) Omer and Jennifer M. Niles, both of New Castle; sister, Ameena Ross of New Castle; and four grandchildren, Sara K. Omer, Mary E. Omer, Christopher N. Niles and Braden M. Niles.

In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her brothers, Ameen Gabriel and Eugene J. "Murphy" Gabriel; and her sister, Gloria Beshero.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Maronite Catholic Church.

A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Maronite Catholic Church. Rev. Hanna Karam, pastor of St. John the Baptist Maronite Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Parkside cemetery.

Donations can be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
