Kimberli Kay Newman Obituary

New Castle - The family of Kimberli Kay Newman is saddened to announce her passing on June 17, 2026.

She was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania, to Irene and Fred Hughes.

Kim is survived by her loving husband, Paul Newman, of 25 years; sisters, Trudi Quear and Terri Nagel, and their husbands, Joe Quear and Steve Nagel; nieces, Melanie, Stefanie and Kayla; and nephews, Steven and Benjamin.

Paul was by her side day and night throughout her illness. She passed away peacefully at home.

She loved her two dogs, Penny and Izzy, and they were her children.

Kim had many interests, especially her love of animals and her political interests. She was an avid fan of the Washington Commanders, Washington Capitals and Washington Nationals.

Kim was liked by everyone she met, as she treated them with respect and greeted them with a smile. She was a beloved presence in the lives of her family and friends, remembered for her warmth, kindness, internal spirit. Kim will forever live in our hearts.

A private service will be held in New Castle, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Lawrence County (Pennsylvania) Humane Society would be appreciated in memory of her love for animals.
