New Castle, PA - Kum Sun Gardner, 71, of 4477 W. State St., Edinburg, Pennsylvania, passed away the afternoon of Oct. 25, 2025, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Kum Sun was born May 21, 1954, in South Korea.

She was married to the late Dennis Gardner. They were married in 1977 and were together for 42 years. He preceded her in death July 10, 2019.

Mrs. Gardner was of the Protestant faith.

She will be remembered by her family as a loving sister, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Gardner is survived by her son, James E. (Heather) Gardner of Edinburg, Pennsylvania; several sisters in Korea; and three grandchildren, Haidyn, Jordan and Jaxsen Gardner.

Kum Sum was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dennis Gardner.

Following in her wishes, there are no calling hours or services scheduled at this time.
