New Wilmington - Larry R. Pence, 83, of Pulaski, Pennsylvania, passed away March 6, 2024, at Shenango On The Green in New Wilmington.

He was born Sept. 16, 1940, in Clarion, Pennsylvania, to Charles L. Pence and Hazel M. (Dean) Pence.

Larry graduated from Red Bank Valley High School in 1959.

He was a member of the New Bedford Evangelical Presbyterian Church in New Bedford, Pennsylvania.

Larry was a truck driver for Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company for 23 years, retiring in 1983.

He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and bike riding.

Larry married Virginia B. (Unger) Pence on Aug. 6, 1960. She survives at home.

Larry is survived by two sons, Richard L. Pence of Pulaski, Pennsylvania, and Donald (Ursula) R. Pence of Pulaski, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Ray D. Pence of New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, and Robyn (Jared Alfred) Pence of Tyler, Texas; and two great-grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Marie Wadding of Mansfield, Ohio, Helen Maacks of Niagara Falls, New York, and Delores Darr of Rimersburg, Pennsylvania; and two brothers, Harry L. Pence of Silver Springs, Florida, and Glenn D. Pence of Gastonia, North Carolina.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2024, at John Flynn Funeral Home & Crematory, 2630 State St., Hermitage, PA 16148.

A funeral service will be held from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at the funeral home.
