Lillian A. Barber, 98, of Paul Street passed away the morning of Nov. 4, 2024, at Haven Convalescent Nursing Home.
Lillian was born March 12, 1926, in Ford City, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late John A. and Helen (Babrick) Palko. Mrs. Barber was of the Christian faith.
Mrs. Barber worked for many years in the family-owned business, Pearson Glass in New Castle.
She also loved dogs and had a grooming business out of her home.
Lillian is survived by her sister, Evelyn Hemphill of North Carolina; many nieces and nephews; and her stepdaughter, Kathy Tomasello, who has taken care of Lillian's needs for several years.
In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph W. Anderson Jr. and James Barber; brother, John Palko Jr.; and sisters, Dorothy Wyrie and Genevieve Lutz.
Following her wishes, there are no calling hours of services scheduled at this time. Burial will be in Plain Grove Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations be made in her name to the donor's favorite charity.
