New Castle, PA - Loretta Louise Seward, age 89, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of Feb. 10, 2026, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born Oct. 29, 1936, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Camillo Jiancristoforo and Catherine (Errichetto) Jiancristoforo and the stepdaughter of William Evangelista.

Loretta was preceded in death Nov. 27, 2019, by her husband of 64 years, Donald Lane Seward, whom she married May 21, 1955.

A 1955 graduate of New Castle High School, she was employed as a secretary with the former Reliable Luggage.

Among her many interests were sewing, crafts, reading, crossword puzzles and playing marble games. She also enjoyed bowling and fishing and was an avid Steelers fan.

Loretta was a member of Faith Country Chapel.

She is survived by her three daughters, Debra (Daniel) Chrobak of New Castle, Jodi (Thomas) Bartlett of Slippery Rock and Denise Dean of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, parents and stepfather, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Douglas Lane Seward; and two brothers, Joseph and Vito Jiancristoforo.

There will be a one-hour visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home, 2429 Wilmington Road, with an 11 a.m. service immediately following. Pastor Jason Doolittle of Faith Country Chapel will officiate.

Burial will be in Unity Baptist Cemetery.
