New Castle - Louis Recchione, 91, of E. Moody Avenue, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at Quality Life Services in New Castle.

He was born May 14, 1934, in Palena, Italy, a son of the late Arturo and Lucia (DelMonaco) Recchione.

He was married to the late Mary Ann (Buonpane) Recchione, who died Dec. 31, 2014.

Mr. Recchione worked in labor at Crane Company and Penntex for a number of years, then retired from Westminster College as a custodian after 15 years.

He enjoyed gardening and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He is survived by three children, Joanne Dunmyre and her husband, Winn, of Pittsburgh, Lisa Recchione and Louis Recchione Jr. and his wife, Kim, all of New Castle; six grandchildren, Sam (Courtney) and Alex Dunmyre, Kiara and Arielle Recchione, and Hannah and Jaiden Jones; and one sister, Marie Ferrari of France.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Oswaldo Recchione.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, at the William F. DeCarbo & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave. A Funeral Liturgy Outside of Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
