Luke Allen Yarian Sr., 54 of Volant, passed away at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018. He was born in New Castle on Aug. 14, 1964, to John Lawrence Yarian and Sandra Arthea Shields Yarian.

He graduated from Grove City High School in 1982 and furthered his education by getting technical training in the field of mechanics. He began his career in car sales and later worked at Wheatland Tube as a pipe inspector. He attended Leesburg ECO Presbyterian Church. He was an avid raccoon hunter, fisherman, deer hunter and NASCAR enthusiast.

Survivors include his son, Luke Allen Yarian Jr. of Warren; fiancee Sally Mescall of Volant; mother, Sandra Yarian Thompson of Volant; brother, Benjamin F. Yarian (Joan) of Volant; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, who passed away on Feb. 1, 2001.

Funeral services will be at the Smith Funeral Home (Village of Leesburg), 1778 Perry Highway, Volant, PA 16156 on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018, at 3 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Hurst, pastor of the Leesburg ECO Presbyterian Church presiding. Family will receive friends at the Smith Funeral Home in Leesburg on Wednesday, Sept., 5 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Thursday from 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. service. Interment will be at Zion Baptist Cemetery, Worth Township, Butler County, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Ridge Manor West, 8300 W. Ridge Road, Girard, PA.
