New Castle, PA - Marcia M. Hill, 86, of New Castle, previously of Edinburg, passed away Monday, June 29, 2026, in UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Mrs. Hill was born Nov. 12, 1939, in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Harold and Imogene "Jean" (Wolfe) Gray.

She was a 1957 graduate of Wampum High School.

Marcia retired from Jameson Hospital in 2014 after 30 years as a communications operator. Previously, she was a secretary for Johnson Bronze Company, New Castle.

She was a member of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church, New Castle, and was active in the JONO Sunday school class.

Marcia also belonged to the Wimodausis Club, New Castle.

She married the love of her life, Louis H. Hill Jr., on July 3, 1964. He preceded her in death Nov. 1, 2015.

Marcia cherished the time she spent with her family and friends, especially during her 16 years as a stay-at-home mom. She had a passion for flower gardening, scrapbooking and traveling, and enjoyed watching TV shows and movies.

Active in the community, she was a season ticket holder of the New Castle Playhouse as well as the Westminster Celebrity Series.

Marcia is survived by two daughters, Michelle Singer (Scott) of New Castle and LuAnne Izzo (Ron) of Bessemer; four grandchildren, Dalton (Miranda), Brandy, Travis and Amber; four great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Asher, Willow and Wyatt; one brother-in-law; two sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; and the rest of her extended family.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marcia was preceded in death by a son, Bradley Hill; a sister, Delores "Dolly" Shepard; and an aunt, Mary Jane "Peggy" Hill.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be directed to the Salvation Army of New Castle, 240 W. Grant St., New Castle, PA 16101.

The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Linda, Barb, Marcie and all of those who provided in-home health care for Marcia.

Calling hours will be 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday (7/07/26) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle. A funeral service will immediately follow at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, with Rev. Michael Spicuzza officiating.

Interment will be in Oak Park Cemetery, Neshannock Township.
