Margaret L. "Peg" Alduk, fondly known as "G-mom," 93, formerly of McGary Road, passed away the night of Dec. 14, 2021, at Jameson Care.

Born on Dec. 29, 1927, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Charles F. and Anne Marie (Sander) McGill.

She was preceded in death on Dec. 24, 1993, by her husband of 44 years, Frank P. Alduk, whom she married on Sept. 17, 1949.

A 1945 graduate of New Castle High School, she continued her education at the Jameson School of Nursing, graduating in 1949. She also attended Westminster College.

Peg was a nurse with Jameson Hospital for several years.

Peg was active with Jameson Junior Guild, the Federation Juniors and volunteered with the Red Cross blood drive.

She was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, where she formerly served as a deacon, an elder, and member of the Over 55'ers group.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen (William) Shaker of Bradenton, Florida, and Janis (Randy) Sumner of New Wilmington; one son, Dennis F. (Beverly) Alduk of New Castle; one sister-in-law, Martha Alduk of New Castle; seven grandchildren, Daniel (Alissa) Sumner, Laura (Ryan) Dewberry, Dustin (Rachel) Sumner, Jeffrey (Meredith) Alduk, Amy Amato, Derek (Stephanie) Sumner and Andrew Amato; and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Judy Wilcox; and her best friend, Vern Brown.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 2434 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation at noon with the Rev. Jordan Rimmer officiating.

Burial will be along side her husband at Castle View Memorial Gardens.
