Mariann L. Manzo, 95, of New Castle passed away the morning of April 12, 2025 at Quality Life Service of New Castle.

Mariann was born in New Castle on January 23, 1930 to the late William and Susan (Vargo) Gibson.

She married her beloved husband, John J. Manzo, Sr. on October 28, 1950. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1988.

Mariann was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time outdoors and time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Mariann is survived by her son, John J. Manzo, Jr. (Chris), daughters; Susan Dzemyan (Dan), and Maureen Maier, brother George W. Gibson (Karin), grandchildren; Jason Maier (Jamie), Julie Cook (Jeremy), Melissa Maiella (Dwayne), Matthew Manzo (Jess), Erin Bigham (Frits), Justine Dear (Trevin), Danielle Rohal (Alex), and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mariann was preceded in death by her infant daughter, sister, Ellen Warner, and son-in-law, Jeffrey C. Maier.

The family extends its appreciation and thanks to Quality Life Services staff and hospice team for all the love and care they provided.

Visitation will be at Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. on Tuesday, April 15th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 16th at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Interment will be at St. Vitus Cemetery.
