New Castle, PA - Marlene Ann Leslie, age 84, of New Castle passed away the afternoon of May 7, 2025, at Jameson Care Center.

Born June 20, 1940, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Helen (Hopper) Braatz.

She was married to her beloved husband of 61 years, John H. Leslie. He preceded her in death Sept. 25, 2023.

Marlene was a high school graduate of Ne-Ca-Hi.

For several years, she worked as an administrative assistant, employed by Penn Power.

Marlene enjoyed being a homemaker, baking pies, doing needlepoint, macramé, cake decorating, crafts and ceramics.

She was a member of Wimodausis group, and a former member of Second United Presbyterian Church, where she was very active in church activities. More recently, she was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Jill (Eugene) Razzano of New Castle, Pennsylvania; one son, Robert Leslie (Kimberly Cheshire) of Cortland, Ohio; one brother, Robert Braatz of Hermitage, Pennsylvania; one sister, Debbie (Patrick) Michael of New Castle, Pennsylvania; and one grandson, Benjamin Razzano.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation, at 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Jordan Rimmer, officiating.

Burial will be alongside her husband at Castle View Memorial Gardens.
