New Castle, PA - Mary Cugini Kusinski Miles, 97, of Neshannock Township passed away the afternoon of May 12, 2025, at Quality Life Services of New Castle, surrounded by her loving family.

Born June 17, 1927, in New Castle, Mary was the youngest of nine children born to the late Paul and Annina Strizzi Cugini.

A 1949 graduate of Butler County Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Mary worked as a registered nurse in New Castle, Butler, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Miami, Florida. She retired from Jameson Hospital's maternity ward.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mary's greatest joy was her family.

She was a loving mother to Jean Gaydos, Karen Humphrey (Bill), and Diane Petrarca (David); stepmother to Robert Miles, Richard Miles (Brenda) and David Miles (Joy); cherished grandmother to William Humphrey, Anthony Humphrey (Chrissy), Maria Ford (Chris), James Humphrey (Ally), Angela Petrarca, Michael Miles (Amanda), Meredith Miles, Brent Miles (Rhoda), Amy Weddle (Kyle), Heather Curphey (Mack), Bethany Erich (Nathan) and Stephen Miles (Devyn); 20 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Anthony Kusinski; her second husband, J. Robert Miles; and her siblings, Helen Petrangeli, Elvera Mabe, Philomena DuBois, Rose DePietro, Laura Wilks, Gregory Cugini, Paul Cugini and Margaret Sporter.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA. A procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. Saturday for a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church, 910 S. Mercer St., New Castle, PA. Father John Gizler will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
