New Castle, PA - Mary Filigenzi, 102, of Neshannock Township, passed away the afternoon of July 7, 2026, at Masternick Memorial Nursing Home in Ohio.

Born Aug. 14, 1923, in New Castle, Mary was the daughter of the late Albert and Anna Conti Richards.

On June 10, 1943, Mary married her husband, Gedio Filigenzi. Gedio preceded her in death April 16, 1968.

Mary was lifelong member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church.

Mary was known for love of dancing. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Mary loved to cook and bake for her family, who were always her main priority in life.

Mary is survived by her three children, Richard Filigenzi, William Filigenzi and Glorianne Vitale (Ralph); five grandchildren, Jeffrey Vitale (Heather), Janice Cross (Todd), Jay Vitale (Nicole), Gina Filigenzi (Carlos Guzman) and Joshua Vitale (Jamie); 14 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by two brothers, Philip and Charles Richards; her companion of 42 years, Donald Moses; and her daughter-in-law, Susan Filigenzi.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 10, at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road. Family and friends will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church, for a Mass of Christian burial, with Father Benjamin Barr officiating. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
