New Castle, PA - Mary Jane Kliem, 86, of Roberts Lane, New Castle, passed away peacefully the morning of Dec. 8, 2025.

Mary Jane was born Nov. 19, 1939, in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Zarilla) Quarella.

Mary Jane married the late Nicholas F. Kliem Jr. on Sept. 27, 1969. They were married for 54 years. He preceded her in death Oct. 2, 2023.

Mary Jane was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1957.

She was of Roman Catholic faith and a member of Holy Spirit Parish-St. Camillus site.

Mary Jane worked in the insurance industry at Navarra Insurance. She went on to co-own Card Creations with her close friend, Pat Shearer.

Mary Jane had a young-hearted spirit, taking great pleasure in traveling to many charming destinations with her husband, Nick. She enjoyed going on casino trips, hosting card club and meeting up with friends for Dutch treat. She also liked volunteering at the Mission Barn. But most of all, she loved being surrounded by family.

Mary Jane is survived by her two sons, David S. (Connie) Kliem of Erie, Pennsylvania, and Christian J. (Heidi) Kliem of New Castle, Pennsylvania; sister, Joann (Tom) Kent of Charleston, South Carolina; and five grandchildren, Alec, Madison, Aiden Kliem and Ella and Ty Holland. She is also survived by a special niece, Renee (Anthony) Gabriel, and nephew, A.J. Kahrer

In addition to her parents and husband, Nicholas, Mary Jane was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Kahrer.

Visitation will be 3 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill St., New Castle.

A blessing service will be celebrated at 5:30 p.m. in the funeral home following the viewing. Deacon John Carran of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Burial will be in Castleview Cemetery.
