Mary Louise Peoples Obituary
Mary Louise Peoples of Washington Township, Lawrence County, died at VNA Hospice, Butler, on Tuesday morning, Dec. 19, 2017. She was 84 years old.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y., on Nov. 29, 1933, to the late Raymond and Louisa MacMahon Rung. She married Richard C. "Dick" Peoples on Jan. 15, 1955. He died Jan. 11, 2011.
Mrs. Peoples was a homemaker and was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include three sons, Richard (Jane) Peoples of Grove City, Eric (Linda) Peoples of Grove City, Marc (Susanna Peoples) of Volant; three daughters, Shelia (John) Litzenberg of Volant, Pa., Jeanne Peoples of Westminster, Colo., and Joan (Greg) Rudzik of Waterford, Mich.; one brother, Richard Rung of Batavia, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and wife, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Paul and Robert Rung.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, at the Smith Funeral Home, 1778 Perry Highway, Village of Leesburg, Volant, Pa.
Funeral services are Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. William H. Stone Jr. will officiate.
Interment will follow at North Plain Grove Cemetery, Plain Grove Township, Lawrence County.
Memorials may be given to the St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
