Maureen R. Adams, 49, of Kittery Ridge Drive died Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, at Jameson Hospital. She was born July 20, 1966, in New Castle, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Shorts) Fraser. She married Leonard Randy Adams on Feb. 20, 1988. He survives in New Castle. She married Leonard Randy Adams on Feb. 20, 1988. He survives in New Castle. Mrs. Adams was an operating room instrument technician at Jameson Hospital for 14 years. She was a life member of the VFW auxiliary. She enjoyed playing darts, was an avid Steelers fan and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her godson, Samuel Fraser of New Castle; two brothers, Pastor John Fraser and his wife, Mary Jane, of New Castle and Michael Fraser of Bailey, N.C.; one sister, Ruth A. Fairchild of New Castle; her stepmother, Penny (Higgs) Fraser; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death her brother, Timothy Fraser, and her nephew, Jonathon Fraser. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Pastor John Fraser of Maitland Lane Free Methodist Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.
